Hurray – A couple of days ago we finally managed to pay a visit to the (relatively) new VeCafe in Santa Eularia! We had a delicious time.. We ordered the «Blessing Mountain» hummus as a starter (oh my god – best we’ve eaten on the island!) and two hot Buddha bowls: Gobi Masala and Nonna Margherita, the former being a lentil curry with coconut cream, cauliflower and sugar snaps and the latter a tomato and eggplant stew with tofu balls, basil and sesame. Both extremely tasty, my favourite being the Gobi Masala and Lorenzo’s the Nonna Margherita – simply yum.
The cafe itself looks beautiful, with both tables and more relaxing sofa-type lounges and is incredibly nicely situated, right next to the beach with view over the water.
My only tiny minus is that the place is not entirely vegan – which I happily assumed after reading ‘plant based cafe’. However, fear not, the menu features an overwhelmingly vegan selection of dishes! The staff is lovely, not only did they help us deciding on what we wanted to eat but they also spontaneously offered us a discount for next time we visit, as a fire alarm drill caused a bit of sound disturbance (special shout-out to Marcos!) – and return we will! Thank you for a great experience, VeCafe team!
